Aspartame, MSG and now Advantame!

The leading global supplier of monosodium glutamate - MSG - and the sweetener aspartame, a proven neurotoxin and carcinogen, Ajinomoto Company Inc. is seeking approval from the the US food and drug administration FDA for their latest sweetener, yet another biochemical "taste-enhancer" called Advantame.

The makers of aspartame are currently being sued for damages because of side effects from the use of aspartame sweetener. It seems they may be trying to re-cap their losses from bad publicity - or rather bad health due to the use of aspartame and MSG/glutamate. They claim that this new sweetener is "an innovative sweetener for use in foods and beverages" but considering their previous efforts yellow canaries plans to give Advantame a wide berth.
