Discover how much C-vitamin you need

Some people have the notion that C-vitamin intake should be limited because it can cause diarrea. In fact this provides you with some important information. As virus thrives when human C-vitamin levels are inadequate we need to assess how much is adequate. A C-vitamin flush lets you know.

The human body can't produce C-vitamin and needs it in the form of fruit, vegetables or a food supplement. Some do best on the buffered ester C form which is less acidic, while others thrive on the more acidic ascorbic acid.

Start with a C-vitamin supplement made of ascorbic acid and buy tablets or powder that allows you to take 500-1,000 mg at a time. Should you find that your stomach finds it acidic, switch to a buffered C-vitamin.

The C-vitamin flush

Start by taking 500 mg C-vitamin three times a day with meals. Increase the three doses by 500 mg per day until you begin to get loose stool.

This is the dose you currently need though you may need to reduce the dose by 500-1,000 mg per day if your stool is too loose. Should your stool become loose at a later date, reduce the dose gradually till you establish the current dose again.

You may on the other hand need to raise the dose at times when you are exposed to more infection, so use the Flush test occasionally to re-check your levels.
